Borrisokane Library was a hive of activity Wednesday, 14th December, as our two junior book clubs (10-12year olds) met up for a joint Christmas party. First up was the “Battle of the Titles”. The Laughing Hyena’s (Girls) and The Borrisokane Readers (Boys) both selected members of their Book Club to defend their chosen title. Clara Quigley, for the girls, championed ‘Marley, a Dog like no Other’, while Michael Carroll represented the boys club and argued the merits of Jeremy Strong’s ‘My Little Brother’s Famous Bottom.’ Both arguments were well put together and while the girls came out victorious great fun was had by all.
