On Thursday 27th September Tipperary Studies hosted an Information Evening for Teachers of Leaving Certificate History.  Its main purpose was to assist teachers and their students in the selection of local research topics for the Leaving Certificate and to introduce them to the many helpful sources available in the Tipperary Studies Department.  Special emphasis was made on the War of Independence and Civil War period in the county. Speakers on the night were Kevin McCarthy, Department of Education, Denis G.
