Well, we didn’t win any prizes but Cahir library was very well represented at this year’s parade in Cahir. The theme this year was the Cannon Ball Run and Make a Wish Foundation and entries had to fall within either category. The Knit and Natter Club were well turned out as the pit stop crew all in mechanics overalls, even Bruce the dog got in on the act. The library itself had the sports car and we had a full service crew behind with tyres and equipment should the need have arose. The comedy was provided by Mary Regan and Pauline Guidera who checked under the bonnet at strategic locations and polished the bodywork en-route. A very special thanks to Tony Chantry and Brendan Heeran who provided the vehicles and to Anne Downey Fitness for the fabulous car. Thanks also from the library to the Knit and Natter ladies for all the hard work and fun on the day and also to Joanne Chantry for the checkered flag that led the way. Many thanks also to Nancy and Liam Simpson who gave us the run of their home and garden for the mornings preparations.
