Carrick-on-Suir Library Celebrates World Book Day

World Book Day Storytime is so popular in Carrick Library that we have had to add a couple of extra dates!

Pat entralled the pupils of Newtown Upper with two storytime events this morning. Junior classes enjoyed the classics ‘The Gruffalo’ by Julia Donaldson and ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ by Michael Rosen. While the senior pupils were treated to two great Irish authors with excerpts from John Boyne’s ‘The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas’ and Roddy Doyle’s ‘The Giggler Treatment’.

An activity and a bag of sweets helped to round off an hour of fun in Carrick Library.

Presentation Primary will visit on Thursday the 3rd March (World Book Day 2016).
