As part of the Clancy Festival Medical Herbalist Anne Quinn will be presenting a workshop in the Carrick-on-Suir Library on Saturday the 30th May, 2-5pm
Introduction to using Herbs and Herbal Remedies for Home Health ~ . This workshop will emphasize the foundations of herbalism and herbs for family health. There will be lots of hands on learning and activities, including making herbal products using the roots, flowers, leaves and bark of familiar herbs for health and healing.
A sampling of topics we will cover
· Herbal Teas –learn how to blend high quality herbs to treat common conditions like problem skin, digestion and sleep.
· Herbal syrup – learn how to formulate a herbal cough and sore throat syrup.
· Infusions-learn how to infuse water and oils for therapeutic use in salves and creams.
- Make a moisturizing lip balm with oil and bees wax
· Herbal salves –now make your own herbal salve for cuts and bruises.
· Herbal creams – make a herbal cream for dry skin using all natural ingredients.

We will be making take home products (lip balm, salve and face cream)
