As part of the “To Crown A King – Brian Boru Millennium Celebrations Festival”, Cashel Library will host Irish History Live with Michael Moylan on Saturday the 26th of April. Michael will hold 2 shows that day, at 2pm, and 3.30pm. This is an interactive history show on the Vikings, and will focus on:

Who was Brian Boru?

Why did he want to go into battle with the king of Dublin?

How was the battle fought?

You will find all this out by dressing up as the king himself! Try out real weapons, swords, spears, bows and axes. Are you strong enough to wear the armour and carry a shield like the warriors of old?
