This year’s multicultural workshops were a huge success, with over 30 children attending to learn about Japan, Belgium, Peru, Azerbaijan and Italy.  Every morning the kids learned some interesting facts about the chosen country, did some crafts, and played traditional games. Thank You to Shannon Strawbridge pictured above who came on “Japan Day” to give an impressive Taekwondo demonstration.  At the end of each workshop, there was some traditional food to be tasted. Each child also received a “multicultures @ your library” T-shirt, courtesy of Europe Direct.  This event was presented by Cashel Library and Europe Direct and received funding from the European Commission.
