Clonmel Library was buzzing last week with 65 children taking part in these annual workshops. The children experienced the cultures of Germany, Spain, Japan and Colombia.

Pat and Anne Marie showed the children some of the national games, sports and dances and they learned all about the countries. They also got to taste traditional foods from each country, sushi, arepas, teriyaki, paella, wienerwurst  etc.

Katsuko Power came along on Japan day and gave the children a great insight into her Japanese culture. Thanks also  to the enormous assistance from Siobhan who helped out all week with all the fun and games. This event was presented by Clonmel Library and Europe Direct and received funding from the European Commission.
