Nature and Nurture, an exhibition by Mount Henry Art Group will be on display at the Templemore Library Gallery for the month of April.
The members of Mount Henry Art Group are Mary Slevin, Laura Amy Dunne and Aisling Brennan, a native of Castleiney, Tipperary. The trio are based at Mount Henry Art Studio, Killenard, Portarlington, Co. Laois.
Although diverse in processes, techniques and finished pieces, their connection with art is the glue which binds them together.
The artwork is based on personal experiences and exploring these experiences creatively. Mary explores the nature she engages with surrounding her home, where the studio is based. Laura looks at the world in its general sense, our connection to it and it’s connection to us, and Aisling explores the heart.
Their combined interests in textiles, print, ceramics, painting, drawing and mixed media enable them to explore each subject at a personal level.
As a group their creativity bounces between them, where an idea grows in one, it is fostered, nurtured, supported, developed and matured within the group.
Templemore Library Gallery invites the public to visit Nature and Nurture, throughout the month of April and to join them at the official opening reception on 16th April, 6:30-8pm.
