Author Julian Gough visited Nenagh Library on Thursday morning, 4th February, with his daughter Sophie. He talked to the 1st class children from St. Mary’s primary school, 50 in all, about being a writer and how his stories are created. He gave a very entertaining reading from the first book in his new series of children’s books, called Bear and Rabbit: Rabbit’s Bad Habits, which is only recently published. The children really loved the story with the wonderful illustrations by Jim Field and were soon involved in throwing out their own ideas as to what they would write if they had the chance. Julian, who is originally from Nenagh and now lives in Germany, was home for a few days with his daughter on holiday and we would like to thank them both for taking the time to come in and meet everyone. We look forward to reading more of the adventures of ‘Bear and Rabbit’ in the future.
