Neighbours for years, Anne Brennan and Margaret Cormican now support each other in their passion for beads. Neither can walk past a bead shop without venturing in to feed their habit. They love to try new designs and to play around with new techniques. Some might say they have gone overboard in their hobby with entire rooms dedicated to storage of their craft but Anne and Margaret find that it soothes the soul. There is nothing quite like the feeling of losing oneself in creating a new design, a gift for a friend or a personal masterpiece for an upcoming event. Unfortunately, so addicted are Anne and Margaret to this feeling that they now find themselves drowning in jewellery and knick knacks. Hence the reluctant decision to clear out and sell as much as possible of their pieces. This lovely exhibition will be with us for the month of August and all items are for sale through Nenagh library
