Nenagh: Pirate Day Success

DSCF4180Pictured are some of the 600 young readers who completed the Reading Challenge at Nenagh Library this summer. Among them, they read more than 9,300 children’s books throughout July and August. Congratulations to all children involved, as well as their parents. We hope you keep up these fantastic reading habits over the winter months as well. For their efforts, everyone was rewarded with a certificate, some sweet treats, and crafts games and activities at our Pirate Day on October 3rd. Thank you to Olive Kilgannon for facilitating the pirate-themed craft making activities throughout the day. Well done to Cooper Ryan who was the winner of our guessing game on the day – Cooper correctly guessed the number of sweets in the jar and won the prize of all 205 sweets! Anyone who was unable to collect their certificate on the day can collect it on their next visit to the library. All photos taken on the day are now on display in the children’s corner of the library – parents are welcome to bring their child’s photo home with them.
