Margaret reading a story to some of the children who regularly attend our Storytime.

Storytime continues at Nenagh library for the Summer every Wednesday morning at 11.15am approx when the tots take over the library. For 45 mins the fives and under flop down on our brightly coloured mats, strewn all over our exhibition room floor and listen intently (sometimes!) to stories told by our resident storytellers, Eileen and Margaret who take it in turns  to amuse and enthrall them.

Whether it is Eileen helping them find Wibbly Pig or Maisie’s Panda (they do love the ‘Lift the Flap’ books) or Margaret teaching them life lessons through ‘Dr. Dog’ and ‘Sylvia and George’ (mind your personal hygiene and don’t be dissatisfied with your appearance respectively) the children love the stories, their parents and childminders relax and make friends.  When the kids decide they’re done with stories for the day we start colouring. Their artistic efforts are featured weekly on our kids notice board beside the Reading Tree.

We have Storytime and Colouring every Wednesday morning at 11.15 am. All are welcome.
