On one of the few fine days this Summer Liam and a few young friends posed for this shot outside our Summer Book Bus in Newport. Despite the bad weather all Summer, spirits weren’t dampened and young children from Newport, Ballinahinch, Birdhill, Ballina and Killaloe, Rearcross and Murroe visited the book bus every Wednesday to exchange their books, meet friends and help Tipperary libraries dress this year’s Reading Tree. Tipperary libraries would like to say a big thank you to all who visited the bus this Summer and to remind  all those who have yet to finish reading their six books and filling in their forms – there’s just one more week left. Forms will be taken in Nenaagh library until 7th September. Remember – it is very important that all forms are returned to us so that we know exactly who to give those medals to!

Special thanks go to our volunteers this year – Mary Downes, Patsy Roche-Ryan, Joyce Quigley, Mary Vaughan and Breda Ryan. Without their help we would have found it very difficult to bring the Book Bus back to Newport.
