743Several local schools have visited Nenagh Library during the month of March to mark World Book Day. Pupils availed of tours, talks about the library and staff have read stories to groups of all ages.

Schools visiting us to date have included St.Mary’s convent primary school, the Gaelscoil and young children from the náoinra in Conradh na Gaeilge. Bhain na naoíonra alán taitneamh as ‘An Gruffalo’ agus ‘Micí Meabhrach’ as Gaeilge.

Up to 70 pupils visited from the CBS in Newport – those who weren’t already members joined up on the day. We are delighted to see everyone visit the library this month and would especially like to thank teachers and carers for taking the time and making the effort to bring children and students in and join them up.
