On Friday 12th June staff of Nenagh library were in for a rare treat. Promptly, on the dot of 10am 20 toddlers and pre-schoolers from the Rainbow Childcare Centre marched into the library and took up position in our exhibition space whereby they proceeded to entertain us for the next 60 mins. Under the watchful eyes of their proud parents and grandparents and supervised by the very capable Cordelia McCormack and her staff they lifted all our spirits with their energetic, happy songs and brightly coloured costumes. While there were a few nerves initially
everything was indeed ‘all right on the night’ and they wowed us all with a variety of songs, from Christmas carols to Summer ditties. Lined up around the walls everyone could see their art work from their year in the rainbow centre and a very colourful display it was too. By 11.30am all were gone again and we settled back into our routine once more. And if we found ourselves singing ‘Silent Night’ in June during that day we simply ignored the odd looks that we were given by those not lucky enough to catch this lively show. Hopefully, Cordelia and her crew will be back to us again next year.
