Mia is a promising cellist who has a loving boyfriend and a generous, happy family. Life is good until she and her family are involved in a catastrophic car crash. While Mia lies in a coma, she narrates her out-of-body experiences as she attempts to decide between clawing her way back to a life without her parents and little brother, or allowing herself to die. Though Mia’s choice is harrowing, the mood is kept positive by flashbacks to happier times. An interesting novel for mature teenagers.
