Dawn Bundy has two dachshunds, an invisible coat, a Jesus and Mary Chain addiction, a missing father and a drink-and-tranquilliser addicted mother. All of these things are connected. She also has a mission; she’s out for revenge. God made her
father disappear, so she’s going to do her best to return the favour. Brooks’ revelations constantly throw new light on details the reader thinks they know. Harsh at times, but also funny and humane.
