Join members of Thurles book club on Thursday 10th April when they will review ‘The Dinner’ by Herman Koch  with Keith Fahey on the afternoon show at 3.15pm.

A summer’s evening in Amsterdam and two couples meet at a fashionable restaurant to discuss their fifteen year old son’s actions.
Together, the boys have committed a horrifying act, caught on camera, and their grainy images have been beamed into living rooms across the nation; despite a police manhunt, the boys remain unidentified – by everyone except their parents. Over dinner the two couple’s discuss what they are going to do and in a disturbing conclusion they illustrate just how far they are prepared to go to protect the ones they love.

This is an attention-grabbing read which you will find hard to put down even though it makes for some unsettling reading at times. Listen in and see what the book club members thought of this very different novel.
