Sky Hawk

First year One Book project

Currently on display in the library is the very impressive project by the first year girls from the Presentation secondary school. Under the guidance of their teacher Eimear Harrold the girls read Sky Hawk and then worked on group projects based on the book.. They covered a wide variety of topics ranging from birds of prey to Gambia n culture. As well as the reviews and project work on display in the library the group also created a blog of their work aingilnaofapres.blogspot.com and a podcast of reviews and class interviews.

This is the second year that we have run the One Book project with a first year class and it has proven to be a wonderful success. The creativity and enthusiasm of the girls is boundless and the results are more than impressive. If you are in the library do take time to look at the project work which is on display in the teenage area .
