Philomena McNamara’s paintings are inspired by her deep love of colour and her belief that colour has a way of affecting us, at times unbeknownst to ourselves. They are (mostly) abstract in nature and therefore the viewer is free to consider what they see, what direction they would like their thoughts to go in, without being overly influenced by title.
