To coincide with the centenary of the Great War and the Great War Roadshow at the Source Library & Arts Centre, Catriona O’Connor exhibited one of her paintings ‘From stream-veined meadowlands we send them,’ which reflected the mood of a war poem by G.M. Jeudwine, War-Horses. Catriona’s moving image, which is an acrylic on board, captures the mood and sombre tones of Jeudwine’s work as the consideration of animal welfare is an often untold aspect of the Great War.
Thank you to Catriona for allowing us to exhibit this painting.
