Congratulations to all children who completed this year’s Reading Tree Challenge in Thurles Library, and to the parents for their incredible support throughout. Presentation of the certificates and medals took place in the library on Tuesday 20th September. The excitement was palpable as each child received their medal and certificate. Once again participant numbers were impressive, with record quantities of books being borrowed.
Well done to everybody and we look forward to promoting a new reading challenge next summer. In the meantime we would like to announce that the Children’s Book Festival will commence nationwide and in Thurles Library from the 1st of October. Don’t forget to visit the library to pick up your competition entry form. October is our Titanic month, and all competitions are based on this theme. We look forward to seeing you very soon.
