Book Gobblers 10-12 book club reviewed Sparrow this month.  They described it as fiction based on historical fact.  One very good reader said she wished it was longer as she really enjoyed it.  There were mixed feelings about the sparrow as a partial narrator.  A few said it was slow to start but when it got going it was good. They were very interested in the Joan of Arc story and a bit of research proved that the book was indeed very accurate in its detail.  Sparrow is a beautifully written and well told story. It made a nice change for the members and was perfect for a fun quiz at the end.
