My Heart’s In Tipperary

My heart’s in Tipperary
My heart is not here
My heart’s in Tipperary
So charming and dear
Rambling the lanes
Where the hawthorns grow
My heart’s in Tipperary
Wherever I go
…………

Farewell to Tipperary
Farewell to the Glen
Each byway I knew
Every upland and fen
Though oft I may wander
Though far I may rove
The soil of Tipperary
Forever I’ll love
…………

Farewell to the Galtees
High shrouded with snow
Farewell to the homes
In the valley below
Farewell to the songsters
In Aherlow’s woods
Farewell to the streamlets
And trout- yielding floods !

…………..

My heart’s in Tipperary
My heart is not here
My heart’s in Tipperary
So charming and dear
Rambling the lanes
Where the hawthorns grow
My heart’s in Tipperary
Wherever I go
