Alzheimer Society Mobile Information Unit visited Cashel Library on Thursday 6th September as part of the Healthy Ireland Initiative. Local Alzheimer Advocate Cathy Ryan also stopped by to lend her support. Experienced Dementia Advisors for the Alzheimer’s Society Amy Murphy and Vanessa Bradbury were on hand between 11am and 3pm for members of the public to avail of this free information service. The Alzheimer Society of Ireland offer a range of services for people with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, their families and carers. All our services operate using the philosophy of person centered care. This service is made possible by the Peggy Mangan Foundation who raised the funds needed to buy and convert this mini bus into an information service. Tipperary Co Council Library service’s Healthy Ireland co-coordinators Emer O Brien and Maura Barrett were also on hand to lend their support on the day.
