The author Brian Gallagher was guest speaker in Thurles library this morning as part of October Children’s Book Festival.  Brian is a full-time writer and has also worked in radio and television writing many dramas and documentaries . Brian addressed three schools on his life as an author, its advantages and disadvantages, publishing and his research.He has written numerous historical fiction books for older children and young adults in his career to date. Among them include some of our children’s book club favourites Pawns and Spies. Many of the children who attended today’s event have already borrowed copies of Brian’s books after meeting with him today! Thank you to the students and teachers of St Kevins National School Littleton, Scoil Micheal Naofa Holycross and Presentation Secondary School first year group for their participation in today’s events.We may have inspired some budding authors today!
