It has been a busy few days in Thurles library with lots of children coming to visit before they get their Christmas holidays. We were delighted to welcome Baile Beag Montessori preschool from Littleton, Leugh NS & Scoil Angela Primary schools over the last week. Baile Beag Montessori made paper face snowmen, listened to stories & sang lots of Christmas songs during their visit. Leugh NS junior infants to first class arrive bright and early Monday morning! This group were super excited to have the trip on the bus too. They loved listening to Christmas stories I’ve Seen Santa, Jingle Spells and Fr Christmas Needs a Wee! They sang and danced to lots of super Christmas songs with lots of actions they also performed some of their songs from their Christmas Carol Morning. They were amazing and we look forward to seeing them again very soon! Scoil Angela also made the journey in the rain this morning they had a mixed bag of stories. Their favourite was “Dave” the fantastic cat who got stuck in the cat-flap and ate beans to get himself unstuck! We dance to 5 Little Snowmen, Chicken Dance and the popular freeze dance! They treated the staff to their Christmas song Jingle Bells. Thanks to all the teachers who took time out of their busy schedules to come along to the library and for taking part in all the dancing and singing. We hope the children had a great time and they will be back for more in the New Year!
