Next on our Bealtaine programme is a crochet class with Sandra Coote on Tuesday, 10th May at 10am. Sandra credits her rural upbringing in Co. Longford, where she learned how to bake and craft from a very early age, with her interest in heritage and culture and this is manifested in her craft work, be it traditional baking, butter making, Irish lace, wool spinning and other crafts. Running the very successful Cavan based business, Crafts of Ireland, which organises food and craft workshops from her purpose built studio, she also travels to demonstrate and teach these crafts and so we are delighted, through this Bealtaine workshop, to welcome her to Nenagh library where she will demonstrate some core crochet skills and is looking forward to answering any queries on this ancient craft.
Organised by Tipperary Arts Office, spaces are limited and so booking is essential. Please contact Nenagh library at 067 34404
