DESCRIPTION:Would you like to learn the ancient art of silk painting? Carrick on Suir library is running a 6 week course during which you will learn how to apply paint to silk fabric stretched in a wooden frame. \nArtist Inseun Kim\, who has experience teaching fine art in Korea and also works as a tutor with STAG (Clonmel)\, will be our teacher. She says applying colour to silk can be regarded as a kind of art therapy based on the depth of colour created by the proper harmony of water and dyes and the tranquility brought by the harmony of the two materials. \nThe art classes are suitable for complete beginners and all materials will be supplied.
