SUMMARY:The Watermen\, and Exhibition in Carrick-on-Suir Library
DESCRIPTION:Ireland may be known for legendary men such as Tom Crean and Ernest Shackleton\, however Carrick-on-Suir has renowned legends of its own. \n\n\nThe Mighty Power Brothers\, snap-fished the River Suir from the ages of 14 along with their father\, one of the founding members of ‘River Rescue’. \n\n\n\n\nCurated by Noreen Duggan and Matt O’Neill\, who gathered audio stories\, photographs and memorabilia from the Power brothers and the highly skilled cot maker Jim Scully\, to create this wonderful display of local history\, now proudly displayed in Carrick-on-Suir library. \nCall in to the library to view this exhibition during library opening hours \nTo find out more call 052 616 6041 or email carricklibrary@tipperarycoco.ie

DESCRIPTION:Nenagh Library is delighted to host a beautiful new exhibition this June featuring the vibrant work of Irish artist Orla Carr! \n​​Orla is based in Ardnacrusha\, Co. Clare. She loves to create uplifting paintings full of energy\, texture\, light and vibrant colours. Her paintings are inspired by the ever-changing rhythms of nature\, in particular flowers\, trees and the Ocean. Each painting invites the viewer to pause\, reflect and reconnect with the beauty that surrounds us. Her work explores themes of growth\, renewal and the emotional power of colour. Her favourite medium is oil paint as she enjoys the buttery feel and texture it creates and above all she loves the finished look of an oil painting!  \nThis Exhibition offers a joyful and immersive experience\, revealing not simple subjects but symbols of life\, resilience and transformation.
