DESCRIPTION:Nenagh Library is delighted to welcome acclaimed Tipperary visual artist Vincent Hannon (BA\, VAI) for a month-long exhibition throughout September 2026. \nBased in Mullinahone\, County Tipperary\, Vincent Hannon is a distinguished visual artist whose work draws inspiration from the art and photography of the early twentieth century\, particularly the influential German and Russian artistic movements of that era. His artistic vision also reflects the legacy of modernist pioneers such as Georgia O’Keeffe\, Alfred Stieglitz\, and Ireland’s own Mainie Jellett. \nVisitors to the exhibition will have the opportunity to experience a collection of compelling works that explore themes of history\, culture\, and artistic transformation. Hannon’s paintings demonstrate a deep appreciation for the pioneering artists who lived through a period of immense social and cultural change\, creating works that connect past influences with contemporary perspectives. \nA member of Visual Artists Ireland (VAI)\, Hannon has previously exhibited his work in venues across County Tipperary\, receiving praise for his distinctive style and thoughtful approach to visual storytelling. \nThe exhibition will be on display during Nenagh Library’s regular opening hours for the entire month of September. DESCRIPTION:“Views of Italy” a photo exhibition at Nenagh Library \nA different perspective on Italy through unique photos of Italian places. \nVisitors to Nenagh Library are invited to see Italy through a different lens\, as a local photographer\, Antonella Barisone\, presents her exhibition\, “Views of Italy.” \nThe exhibition will run from 5th to 31st October\, with the opening event taking place on 13th October from 5:30 to 8:00 pm at Nenagh Library. \nAntonella is a software engineer based in Nenagh\, where she lives with her husband\, and their two daughters. Alongside her career\, she has developed photography as a personal and creative passion\, pursuing it during her travels and in her everyday life. \nFor Antonella\, photography is much more than simply taking a picture. It is an opportunity to slow down\, observe to the world around her. \nIn “Views of Italy”\, some Italian well known places are presented from an unusual point of view. The exhibition brings together a collection of photos taken across Central and Northern Italy\, offering a glimpse of the country beyond of its most famous destinations. \nThrough her images\, Antonella invites viewers to observe and imagine the moment when each photograph was taken\, the surrounding environment\, the atmosphere of the place and the sensations experienced in that very moment. \n“Views of Italy” is an invitation to discover a different Italy\, unexpected perspectives and fleeting moments\, captured through the eyes of an Italian photographer who knows the country intimately. \nBiography \nAntonella is a software engineer based in Nenagh\, where she lives with her husband\, and their two daughters. \nAlongside her career\, she has developed photography as a personal and creative passion\, pursuing it during her travels and in her everyday life. \nAntonella is mainly a landscape photographer joining the activity with her passion for travelling.\nViews of Italy\, her first Irish exhibition\, is focused on Italian famous and less famous locations seen from different perspectives.
