DESCRIPTION:Nenagh Library is delighted to welcome acclaimed Tipperary visual artist Vincent Hannon (BA\, VAI) for a month-long exhibition throughout September 2026. \nBased in Mullinahone\, County Tipperary\, Vincent Hannon is a distinguished visual artist whose work draws inspiration from the art and photography of the early twentieth century\, particularly the influential German and Russian artistic movements of that era. His artistic vision also reflects the legacy of modernist pioneers such as Georgia O’Keeffe\, Alfred Stieglitz\, and Ireland’s own Mainie Jellett. \nVisitors to the exhibition will have the opportunity to experience a collection of compelling works that explore themes of history\, culture\, and artistic transformation. Hannon’s paintings demonstrate a deep appreciation for the pioneering artists who lived through a period of immense social and cultural change\, creating works that connect past influences with contemporary perspectives. \nA member of Visual Artists Ireland (VAI)\, Hannon has previously exhibited his work in venues across County Tipperary\, receiving praise for his distinctive style and thoughtful approach to visual storytelling. \nThe exhibition will be on display during Nenagh Library’s regular opening hours for the entire month of September. SUMMARY:Storytelling Project Performance
DESCRIPTION:Clients of the Wednesday Group at the Clonmel Day Care Centre for the Elderly joined a series of storytelling workshops with theatre artist\, Bea Conner-Peterson\, writers Ethel Reynolds and Joe Whelan (Story Slam) sharing personal anecdotes and memories. \nParticipants worked closely with writers to shape the narrative\, develop authentic characters and inspire themes for a 45-minute script. Their voices were integral to the creative process\, and the resulting story truly reflects the richness of their lived experiences performed by actors. \nThere will be a 15 minute talk Q&A for the audience to speak to the writers at the end
