Our artist for this month is Ligi Joy from Roscrea. She has been painting and drawing since she was a toddler, and as a school girl participated in many competitions. She has received no formal art training but her work encompasses oils, acrylics, watercolours, glass paintings and muti-media. Ligi’s subject matter is varied but her favourites are landscapes and flowers.
Ligi is donating a percentage of the proceeds to charity, “extending one hand to help others is worth more than two hands in prayer.”

Ligi loves and believes in the “unconscious power of colour” and her paintings are full of colour. Ligi believes Colours are a reflection of life and “images speak louder than words”.
