We celebrated Europe Day on May 9^th in Nenagh Library. Local Schools were invited to take part in a Table Quiz- “Let’s Explore Europe”. On the day 8 teams tested their knowledge against each other and all displayed a great level of awareness of Europe. Congratulations to all schools who took part and their teachers who coached and arranged transport for their teams. It was a closely contested quiz and Bishop Harty NS, Ballinree came in first place closely followed by Ann-Marie O’Sullivan’s 5^th Class in St Mary’s Convent Primary School. There was very little between all teams which also included: Cloughjordan NS, Gaelscoil an tAonaigh (2 teams), Birdhill NS (2 teams) and Bishop Harty NS (2 teams). We can safely say that we will run another quiz again next year as it was such a success.
