Wednesday 25th of July the teddy bears came to visit Thurles Library! Lots of our furry friends came along with their owners to a morning of stories, music and dance! Suzanne read The Very Hairy Bear, Where There is a Bear There’s Trouble, We’re Going on A Bear Hunt and with the help of the children and some props we told the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. As the sun shone brightly what better way to enjoy stories than with ice-cream! Our librarian/ice-cream man Pat gave out plenty of yummy ice-cream and syrup to all the children. We treated the nannies and parents as well! The children danced to some nursery rhymes and songs but the all time favourite was the Freeze Dance! This dance was enjoyed not only by the children but the grandparents and parents joined in too which made for a great morning of family fun and interaction between families and library staff. Thank you to all who attended and we look forward to many more children’s events in the weeks to come. Follow us on facebook, local papers and on our website to keep up to date with what is happening at your local library.
