The 7 – 9 years book club met on Wednesday last to review the book Amelia Fang and the Barbaric Ball by Laura Ellen Anderson. This is a wonderful book about a spoilt prince of Nocturnia who captures Amelia’s pet pumpkin Squashy. The favourite character in this book was of course Squashy as he was so cute!! Thank you to Sophia who went the extra mile and made her own Squashy to bring along to the meeting.  It was unanimous decision to give the book a 5 star rating! The book club also took part in a Halloween table quiz which was great fun and everyone was a winner with plenty of treats! We look forward to our next meeting and reviewing the book The Porridge of Knowledge by Archie Kimpton!
