DESCRIPTION:Ireland may be known for legendary men such as Tom Crean and Ernest Shackleton\, however Carrick-on-Suir has renowned legends of its own. \n\n\nThe Mighty Power Brothers\, snap-fished the River Suir from the ages of 14 along with their father\, one of the founding members of ‘River Rescue’. \n\n\n\n\nCurated by Noreen Duggan and Matt O’Neill\, who gathered audio stories\, photographs and memorabilia from the Power brothers and the highly skilled cot maker Jim Scully\, to create this wonderful display of local history\, now proudly displayed in Carrick-on-Suir library. \nCall in to the library to view this exhibition during library opening hours \nTo find out more call 052 616 6041 or email carricklibrary@tipperarycoco.ie
