The ‘Women on Walls’ exhibition launch took place in Cashel library on Saturday night. This event was also the first on the calendar for our Mná Month schedule in Cashel library.
The exhibition was launched by Roisin O’Grady Heritage Officer with Tipperary County Council.
Recently elected Sinn Féin TD Martin Browne and FG Councillor Declan Burgess who attended the launch paid credit to the library for its ongoing support of local artists and its contribution to the community in Cashel and the surrounding areas.
The artists exhibiting are Lisa Manton, John & Carrie Crochet, Karen Colbert, Melissa Moore, Sue Bickley, Phillipa Kennedy, Gillian Tobin of GG designs, Stretch Your Life – Cher Gleeson, Tudor Artisan Hub Carrick on Suir, jewellery from Margaret O’Toole & Tanya Nunes O’Donoghue. We are also delighted to have on display some of the pieces from the TY students in Cashel Community School who recently competed in Junk Kouture! Special thanks to all those who made the journey in such bad weather conditions and to Maura for her enthusiasm and hard work in preparing Mná Month!
