
Ireland may be known for legendary men such as Tom Crean and Ernest Shackleton, however Carrick-on-Suir has renowned legends of its own.
The Mighty Power Brothers, snap-fished the River Suir from the ages of 14 along with their father, one of the founding members of ‘River Rescue’.
Curated by Noreen Duggan and Matt O’Neill, who gathered audio stories, photographs and memorabilia from the Power brothers and the highly skilled cot maker Jim Scully, to create this wonderful display of local history, now proudly displayed in Carrick-on-Suir library.
