3D Printing

Tipperary County Council Library Service now offers a FREE 3D Printing service in a number of its branches througout the county. These 3D printers can be booked for use by members, who can supply a digital file for what they want to create. There is no charge for using this service (we do have a fair use policy restricting the size and length of production of print jobs).

Scroll down through this page to learn more about our 3D printing policies and also to download the 3D Printing Request form that has to be submitted in order to get your 3D printing job done. If you are unsure of anything just call into your local branch for more information or email us at libraries@tipperarycoco.ie.

What is 3D Printing?

3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing, is a revolutionary process that transforms digital designs into tangible objects. By layering materials, such as plastic or resin, a 3D printer constructs complex and intricate structures based on your design. From simple keychains to intricate prototypes, the possibilities are virtually endless.

Why visit the library for 3D Printing?

At Tipperary County Council Library Service we believe in making technology accessible to everyone. By providing 3D printing services, we are breaking down barriers and allowing individuals of all ages and backgrounds to experiment with this cutting-edge technology.

3D printing opens up new avenues for learning and creativity. Whether you are a student working on a school project, an entrepreneur developing a prototype, or a hobbyist eager to try something new, our library’s resources and expertise can guide you on your journey.

NOTE: Please read the Usage Policy prior to submitting your 3D print file.
