TTRS (Touch-type Read and Spell)

Tipperary County Council Library Service offers free access to Touch-type Read and Spell (TTRS) via a limited number of licences. TTRS is an online typing course designed to benefit:

  • Students who experience spelling, reading or writing difficulties
  • Adults who want to learn typing and/or require help with their literacy skills
  • Students learning English as a second language (ESL)

As a resource tool TTRS is particularly useful for those with dyslexia, dyspraxia, ASD, ADHD, stroke recovery or working memory and processing weakness. It is extremely beneficial for students who experience spelling, reading and writing difficulties and for students learning English as a second language.

TTRS is web-based so it can be used on your own device in the privacy of your own home. Each module is designed to be short in length with regular, positive feedback. Touch-type is multi-sensory, using visual, auditory and kinaesthetic (touch) senses for a fully immersive learning experience.

To register for TTRS contact our Schools Service and they will send on login credentials if there are licences available.
