“Views of Italy” a photo exhibition at Nenagh Library

A different perspective on Italy through unique photos of Italian places.

Visitors to Nenagh Library are invited to see Italy through a different lens, as a local photographer, Antonella Barisone, presents her exhibition, “Views of Italy.”

The exhibition will run from 5th to 31st October, with the opening event taking place on 13th October from 5:30 to 8:00 pm at Nenagh Library.

Antonella is a software engineer based in Nenagh, where she lives with her husband, and their two daughters. Alongside her career, she has developed photography as a personal and creative passion, pursuing it during her travels and in her everyday life.

For Antonella, photography is much more than simply taking a picture. It is an opportunity to slow down, observe to the world around her.

In “Views of Italy”, some Italian well known places are presented from an unusual point of view. The exhibition brings together a collection of photos taken across Central and Northern Italy, offering a glimpse of the country beyond of its most famous destinations.

Through her images, Antonella invites viewers to observe and imagine the moment when each photograph was taken, the surrounding environment, the atmosphere of the place and the sensations experienced in that very moment.

“Views of Italy” is an invitation to discover a different Italy, unexpected perspectives and fleeting moments, captured through the eyes of an Italian photographer who knows the country intimately.

Biography

Antonella is a software engineer based in Nenagh, where she lives with her husband, and their two daughters.

Alongside her career, she has developed photography as a personal and creative passion, pursuing it during her travels and in her everyday life.

Antonella is mainly a landscape photographer joining the activity with her passion for travelling.
Views of Italy, her first Irish exhibition, is focused on Italian famous and less famous locations seen from different perspectives.
