It was a full house yesterday evening for the highly anticipated talk on “The Varied Life of Clonmel Quaker Women in the 18th and 19th Century” presented by historian Clodagh Grubb.
Many thanks to everyone who attended, and to Clodagh for sharing her expertise. If you couldn’t make it, don’t worry! Our exhibition in Commemoration for Anna Grubb & Frederick Close: 200th Anniversary (1826–2026) remains on display in Clonmel Library until Saturday, 28th February.
In addition, the Tipperary Museum of Hidden History houses a fascinating collection from Petronell Grubb – daughter of a prominent Quaker family from Ardmayle, Cashel, which is well worth a visit.
This event was held in collaboration with @tipperarymuseum
