On the 22nd of April 2026, the Creative LEGO Workshop was run by students from Coláiste Mhuire as part of the school’s Creative Schools Arts Plan. The school has a very active and dynamic LEGO Robotics Club, and both students and teachers were keen to show pupils from Presentation Primary School how to programme and control LEGO robots using iPads.

The primary pupils were also encouraged to use their imaginations in creative free-build, designing and constructing a “City of the Future” and a “Fantasy Zoo,” resulting in a wide range of imaginative and inventive creations.

Joanna Parkes, Creative Associate with the Creative Schools Initiative at Coláiste Mhuire, said: “It was a really fun day. There was a great buzz in the room, with plenty of inventive and creative LEGO building going on, and real excitement was generated by the antics of the LEGO robotics.”
