Time on our Hands by Michael Fogarty

Michael Fogarty is a self taught artist and author who came to painting in his forties when health problems impacted on his work in the electrical industry. Initially a prolific writer, with one book published, he soon found that his attention was focused more on art than on writing.

His upcoming exhibition, ‘Time on My Hands’, presented by Clonmel Library, is a presentation of his work during lockdown, when he had time to explore the old masters, paint numerous studies of their various works and apply their influences to some of his own work.
